77 Platform

The 77 Platform is a video sharing internet platform specifically for higher education professors. Ideally the platform gathers content for a streaming channel available to all televisions in the United States. Professors will post a 77 second video on any subject they believe should get attention. If their video is voted into a certain tier by other professors, they will be allotted a 7 minute and 77 second (8:17) video to further develop their concept.

Higher education professors will create an account on the 77 Platform that requires them to verify their employment with a post secondary school. They will also be asked to specify what area of study they teach which may also be verified through our moderators. Once their position has been verified they may post a 77 second video to the platform.

Like professors will be grouped into a voting class, for example English professors will be a group, history professors will be another group, etc. Professors will be able see all videos on the platform but videos from their area of study will be prioritized for them to vote on. Tier 1 of the platform will be a popular vote threshold by all professors of a study area. Once a 77 second video has been upvoted into Tier 1, any professor on the platform can vote it into Tier 2. Once a video has met the vote threshold to enter Tier 2 the author will be allotted the additional 7 minutes and 77 seconds to further explain their concept. If a video reaches the Tier 1 threshold, the author will be able to post another 77 second video to the platform.

While the general public cannot open an account with the 77 Platform they are able to access the website and browse all videos that have been voted into a Tier. Once we launch the streaming channel different videos from different Tiers will be prioritized for Prime Time viewing in each time zone.

The 77 Platform will be a non-profit and operate in a totally transparent manner. Once we have the voting systems in place, professors will be able to vote on different aspects of our operations. In order to launch this platform we may ask for a small yearly membership fee to get the needed funding to hire grant writers and secure further funding.

The 77 Platform is designed to give people a fact based media option in a world of profit driven media. Professors read the studies, know the science, and investigate the truth. They should have an outlet to release information to the masses without dealing with pundits who twist their words to legitimize an argument.
